When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silent. I respect everything in change and the solemn beauty of life and death. I believe man will obtain freedom of spirit of society, and therefore while man amidst the emended beauty of objective bodies, he must possess the capacity of self perfection and must observe and represent his world with full confidence. I believe photography is a tool to express our positive assessment of the world. A tool to acquire ultimate happiness and belief.
I took to photography like a duck to water. I never wanted to do anything else. Excitement about the subject is the voltage which pushes me over the mountain of drudgery necessary to produce the final photograph. Some photographers take reality...and impose the domination of their own thought and spirit. Others come before reality more tenderly and a photograph to them is an instrument of love and revelation.
The idea that any photography can't be personal is madness! ... I see something; it goes through my eye, brain, heart, guts; I choose the subject. What could be more personal than that?
The camera is an excuse to be someplace you otherwise don't belong. It gives me both a point of connection and a point of separation. You cant make a great musician or a great photographer if the magic isnt there. If the photographer is interested in the people in front of his lens, and if he is compassionate, it's already a lot. The instrument is not the camera but the photographer. I took an interest in photography already as a young man, but it was not until my second year at Noakhali Govt. College in Noakhali that I met a French photographer who inspired him with new ideas and techniques in nature photography. Thus began a love affair with photography that continues to this day.
From my very childhood, I was active curious and creative. I was deeply involved with various local and cultural organizations while I was a student of Noakhali Zilla School. Events like quiz, debate, essay writing competitions I participated regularly at district and division levels and won numerous prizes. My father Md. Nurul Amin is a journalist as well as businessman. My mother Ferdousi Begum is housewife. Among the two brothers and one sister I am first. I reside with my Mom, Dad, and my younger brother Tanvir and sister Farhana, in Bangladesh.
I hope you enjoy my work, and sincerely hope that it can inspire you, as other photographers have inspired me.
